The 30-year-old's agent is adamant he will stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until his playing days are over, despite persistent rumours linking him with PSG and Manchester UnitedCristiano Ronaldo will finish his career at Real Madrid, according to his agent Jorge Mendes.
The Portugal international has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and his former club, Manchester United, and has often left the door open to a return to Old Trafford when asked about his future.
Mendes, however, says Ronaldo will remain with Madrid until his playing days are over and backed the 30-year-old to stay at the top of the game for many years to come.
"He is happy at Real Madrid," he said at the launch of Ronaldo's new self-titled documentary. "There is lots of speculation [...] every single day, you have a new story.
"If you ask me, Cristiano will finish his career at Real Madrid, for sure, and he will stay here for many years because he's the best and I'm sure, even at 35 or 36-years-old, he will [still] be the best. He will keep the level."
Mendes also revealed the key to Ronaldo choosing Manchester United over a host of other European clubs as a teenager was the willingness of former Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson to throw him straight into the first team.
"In 2003, all the biggest clubs wanted to buy Cristiano but they wanted to keep him for one more year at Sporting," the agent continued. "The only one who wanted at that time to buy Cristiano, and to bring him at that time, was Sir Alex Ferguson.
"I was with Sir Alex Ferguson the night before [Sporting played United in a friendly in which Ronaldo starred] and he told me 'Jorge, leave it with me. If he comes with me, he will play at least 50 per cent of the games'."
